3.091 Introduction to Solid State Chemistry (official) or Chemistry: Structure and Dynamics (unofficial, but used in past years, and readings are basically the same. much cheaper, too.) - readings aren't very helpful, but homework problems come from it.

Comments

Fairly easy to pass without ever going to lecture (or watching the online lecture videos) or doing much work at all. As interesting as you make it. Opinions of the fall lecturer, Sadoway, vary, from awesome to annoying.
