Beavers

Tim the Beaver with a happy alum.

MIT's mascot is the beaver, nature's engineer. Tim (MIT backwards) the Beaver helps drive up the spirit and excitement of MIT students. SaveTFP, a student group with the sole purpose of buying stuff for students, uses the slogan "Love Your Beaver." Despite MIT student's love for their mascot, MIT's sports teams (Division III NEWMAC) are called the Engineers.
