The USB to DMX board is nothing more than a FTDI chip, some LEDs and MAX-485.

Current Revision

Missing Features

  • both transmit and receive capabilities
  • Software control of receive and send enable
  • Nicer board layout

Next Version

  • RTS, CTS, or some of those types of pins control the RX and TX enable, maybe even tx polarity

Advanced Version

  • Microcontroller with buffering, control of rx and tx polarity, rx and tx enable, maybe some flow control
