The USB to DMX board is nothing more than a FTDI chip, some LEDs and MAX-485.

This deice adds bidirectional communication and a slightly better PCB layout.

Missing Features
- both transmit and receive capabilities
- Software control of receive and send enable
- Nicer board layout
Next Version
- RTS, CTS, or some of those types of pins control the RX and TX enable, maybe even tx polarity
Advanced Version
- Microcontroller with buffering, control of rx and tx polarity, rx and tx enable, maybe some flow control
