Saturday November 17th, 6:00 PM
The fourth annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held Saturday, November 17, 2007 -- the Saturday before thanksgiving. All members of the slugfest community invited, including but not limited to: current residents, past residents, future residents, and people who don't mind doing dishes.
Every turkey point we get represents $1 towards helping fund thanksgiving. Slide them in the envelope on the door of Alison's room, Wa413.

One of the best parts about thanksgiving is that EVERYONE helps out. It's a fun-filled weekend of cooking, baking, deep-frying and eating the tons of food we've prepared. Everyone should volunteer to cook something -- if you have no clue how to cook, sign up for something simple! There is always someone around who can help you out (aka make sure your food is edible) and teach you a thing or two. You can also ask whoever cooked the dish last year (check out Thanksgiving 2006) for tips.
|Deep Fried Turkey||David (Assuming James is here to teach), Adam - Hey frosh and other younguns, sign up for this! We'd love for someone who isn't about to graduate to learn how to do it. (Old bitter people also welcome.)|

If we don't have something you want on the list... add it! Cook it! We welcome everyone's food possibilities...
Plan to cook food for about 60 people. After you know what you are cooking, please email alisonc with what you'll need in terms of ingredients and in terms of oven time & temperature (as soon as you can) for master plan compilation. If it's feasible for your dish to be cooked in a vegetarian-friendly way, please consider doing so! (Or splitting it and making half veggie friendly, if de-meating makes it slightly less delicious.)
Baking Pies begins Friday night, as usual, to accommodate as much counter/oven space as possible for what is the awesomest part of the feast!
Turkeys will go in the fryer at around 1:30 pm Saturday -- it's quite a spectacle, so come watch!
Cooking in the kitchen begins early Saturday afternoon/late morning.
The feast starts as close to 6:00 PM as we can get it!
Once people have regained the ability to move, everyone will help clean up. (Your Name Here -- please volunteer!) will be supervising the cleanup process and kicking all y'all in the butts to get moving!
